The urine, saliva, and blood make our bodies alkaline and it needs that in order to work properly. Biofluids are the ones that our body needs to transport the oxygen and the nutrients. If the levels of acid in our body fluids are high that means that we have an acidic body.
That condition can cause serious problems and therefore, we must maintain the pH balance of our body. Acidic bodies have less oxygen in their body fluid and the levels of acidity should be from 0-14.
The pH levels in each body fluid
- Saliva 7.0-7.5
- Blood 7.35-7.45
- Urine 4.6-8.0
Here are some typical symptoms of an acidic body.
If you have an acidic body, then it withdraws the calcium and some other minerals from the bones and other tissues and weakens them. This leads to osteoporosis and osteopenia and in order to avoid these problems maintain the pH balance in your body.
In acidic bodies some of the harmful material accumulate in the bodies because our kidneys, lymph system, and skin can’t eliminate them. This is the reason why we gain weight.
People suffering from acidic bodies are more prone to fungi, bacteria, and viruses which grow in the human organs, tissues, gums, and digestive tract.
That makes us weak and tired and therefore appears fatigue.
As we have already mentioned acidic bodies suffer from calcium withdrawal and this also causes dental problems. Low pH levels cause demineralization of the teeth’s enamel, they become weak, sensitive, and prone to cavities. Your gum might also start to bleed if you have an acidic body.
Accumulation of mucus
For an acidic body it is more difficult to eliminate the mucus from the body and this causes various different problems such as coughing, sinus problems, respiratory problems, wheezing, chest pain, etc.
Our bodies eliminate toxins through sweating and due to acidity the blood flow is decreased and the skin can’t remove the toxins. This causes rashes, eczema, acne, allergies, etc.
Typical symptoms of an acidic body are also exhaustion, tiredness, and insomnia.
The acidic body has lack of oxygen in the organs and tissues. The muscles are also suffering from lack of oxygen and this leads to soreness and pain.
Eliminate the problem
Warm lemon water – Lemons have acidic flavor but they are alkaline and therefore the best ingredients to maintain the pH balance of the body.
Hydration – We must also drink plenty of fluids especially water.
Green leafy vegetables– Arugula, celery, collards, green peppers, green asparagus, zucchini, artichokes, cucumber, chard, kale, broccoli, and spinach are all great for removing the toxins from our bodies.
Avoid highly acidic products – Avoid soft drinks, meat, sugar, processed foods, caffeine, alcohol, and junk food.
Organic foods – Avoid GMO and eat organic foods.
Take more calcium and magnesium.
