We all know that carrots are great for our sight but do you know that they are even better for removing the phlegm from your lungs?
If they are mixed with some other ingredients they are very good as a phlegm syrup, for flu, and cold.
They are full of vitamins K, A, C, and potassium. The vitamin A is very well known for its beneficial properties against infection and vitamin C is known as a great booster for the immune system.
This recipe also contains some honey which is a powerful anti-bacterial agent and ginger which reduces the inflammation and reduces the pain.
Carrot cough syrup
- Chopped ginger 2 tsp.
- Honey (3-4 tbsp.)
- Carrots (½ kg.)
Cut the carrots add them in a pot and cover them with some water. Boil them on a medium heat and when they reach the boiling point add the ginger. Boil until they are soft then remove them from the heat and strain the mixture. Now, wait until the water cools down and add the honey. Blend the carrots and the ginger and add the water with the honey. Keep this in the fridge for maximum a week.
Take 3-4 tbsp. of this syrup until your coughing disappears completely.
