Dry brushing is one of the best technique for the skin. It is very beneficial and here are some of its benefits:
- Invigorating and awakening
- Reduces the cellulite
- Improves the skin complexion
- Boosts the circulation
- Moisturizes the skin
- Removes the dead cells and unclogs the pores
Dry brushing in the morning will wake you up better than coffee and you will definitely start your day full of energy. Only after a week of regular dry brushing your skin will be soft like a baby’s skin. No matter if you are using some kind of oil after the brushing your skin will be soft.
Your cellulite will be less visible but don’t expect to look like a model though. The dry brushing is really helping with the cellulite and your skin will look much smoother.
Another benefit is that your skin complexion will be much improved. Your skin will be glowing and it will lose the dull complexion and you will only need 10 minutes.
There are many types of brushes and they don’t cost too much but how to choose the right one?
- Avoid plastic brushes use a brush with natural bristles that won’t scratch your skin but they are stiff enough.
- The shape should be easy for you to hold it.
- The brush should have a removable handle or you will need another brush with a long handle.
How to dry brush your whole body?
You will need to start with the lower part of your body and to use smooth and long strokes. Start with your feet and go towards your core. You can brush the sole and the ankles some extra time.
Brush the calf in circular moves for a few times, then the thighs and the hip. Switch the legs and repeat the same procedure on the other leg.
Now, start with the arms, the shoulders, and towards the upper back. At the end brush the torso. Begin with the back, the tush, and the lower back.
Now, start from the hip, up the obliques, and the armpit. Brush the stomach from left the left oblique to the right and stop at the bra line. And from the shoulders down to the heart but be gentle with this area.
You can dry brush in clockwise motions but you can also do it in this way.
Things to keep in mind
The best time to do it is in the morning before your morning shower. At the beginning you should dry brush in the bathtub because there will be a lot of skin dust.
Periodically clean your brush with a mild shampoo. But it must be completely dry before you use it.
The tougher parts of the body (feet, legs etc.) can be brushed more firmly but be gentle with the rest of the body.
If you have rushes, cuts etc. avoid those areas.
